Welcome to the website of The Heights Academy, part of the Forward Education Trust family of schools.

I am delighted to be the Headteacher of The Heights and am excited about the future of this brand new school which opened in September 2023. Opened initially to 48 pupils, of both sexes, in Years 3-7 we will grow over the next few years until we have provision for 116 pupils across all of KS2, KS3 and KS4.

All pupils attending The Heights will have an EHCP, with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated SEMH needs. The Heights must be named by Solihull Local Authority. We will provide our pupils with an outstanding education experience through a broad and balanced curriculum to give all pupils access to the National Curriculum and a comprehensive life skills and wellbeing programme.

Our pupils will receive the additional package of interventions and visiting professionals to meet their need and enable them to develop and achieve their best possible outcomes.

The Heights will be committed to working with all visiting professionals as appropriate to the individual needs of our pupils and will include: Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Autism & Behaviour Consultancy.

Structure and routine is important for our cohort of pupils, and we want to encourage them to develop into Successful Learners, Respectful Citizens and Confident Individuals.
