We’re pleased to announce that our new building for The Heights Academy will be officially opening on Monday 27th November 2023.
Our school building has been built with all new facilities and equipment specifically tailored to meet the special educational needs of our pupils attending The Heights Academy.
Our school will cater for children aged 7 – 16 who:
- Have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP)
- Have a primary diagnosis of autism (ASC) and possibly associated Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
- Will be working at or close to age related expectations.
With the help of Solihull council, our incredible team of staff and Forward Education Trust, we have been working incredibly hard to get our new school ready for its pupils this year. Building work began earlier in the year and since we got handed the keys in September, we have been adding the finishing touches to this pristine new building.
Thanks to our team’s dedication, our year 7s will be able to start working in the new building from the 23rd October after having started the academic year at Sans Souci Teaching Centre in Shirley. Years 3 – 6 will be joining them by the end of November.
We’re looking forward to settling in and making good use of all our wonderful facilities.
